Green Flesh Honeydew: White skinned round melons with light green flesh. 6-12" height. 5-6' spacing. Produces 5-6 lb.
Sow Honeydew seeds outdoors in garden anytime after last frost. Sow 3 seeds in 1/2-inch-deep holes, 18-24 inches apart. Keep them evenly moist until germination. Once seedlings have 2 sets of true leaves, thin them so that there is only one plant every 18-24 inches.
Seeds are great for Planting in Garden or for storing in a seed safe for emergency. Melons must not be planted until the soil temperature has warmed to 70-80 degrees F, since they thrive in heat. Start the plants indoors only 2-4 weeks before transplanting, since if the plants grow too large they have difficulty adjusting to the change. Sow several seeds 1/2" deep in each peat pot, and keep them at 75 degrees until they germinate.
USDA Zones: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Latin Name: Cucumis melo
